What is a nose correction?
A nose correction adjusts the tip of the nose, the bridge or the septum. The surgeon can correct the length, height and breadth of the nose, or set a crooked nose straight.
Procedure nose correction
The procedure is performed either via the bridge between the nostrils, with a very small scar, or via the inside of the nostrils, without a visible scar.
The doctor removes the excess cartilage (on the tip of the nose) or bone (bridge of the nose) and closes the incision with small stitches. He or she then splints the nose. If the procedure is not too extensive, local anaesthetic will be sufficient; otherwise you will be placed under general anaesthetic.
